Shenyang Taoxian International Airport
Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, the largest airport in the Northeast of China, is about 22km away from Shenyang downtown. Situated at the centre part of Liaoning Province, it services central city clusters including Shenyang, Fushun, Benxi, Liaoyang, Anshan, and Tieling. There is a feeder highway connecting Shenyang and Benxi directly.
The airport has more than 40 domestic air routes to most cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Sanya, Chengdu, Kumming, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Xi’an, etc. There are some planes to neighboring counties near the Northeast China in Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. The airport has regional flights to Hong Kong and International flights to Pyongyang, Seoul, Qingzhou, Osaka, Sapporo, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, etc. In addition, travelers can take a flight to Germany and France as well.

Railway Stations:
Shenyang is the largest railway hub in Northeast China. There are 2 railway stations, Shenyang Railway Station and Shenyang North Railway Station. Most long-distance trains depart from Shenyang North Railway Station. The Beijing-to- Harbin Railway and Beijing-to-Jilin Railway pass through the North Railway Station instead of Shenyang Railway Station.
There are a lot of buses running between these railway stations such as Bus No. 203,216,502 and 602.
Shenyang North Railway Station
Situated at the North of Shenyang Government Hall, Beizhan Road, Shenhe District, Shenyang North Railway Station is the largest railway hub in Northeast China, and one of the five largest railway hubs in China. There are railways to most cities in China such as Beijing, Dalian, Dandong, Guangzhou, Harbin, Jilin, Shanghai, Qinhuangdao, etc. The journey between Shenyang and Beijing is about 5 to 8 hours by train.
Bus service in North Railway Station
There are 21 bus routes starting from the North Railway Station and one long-distance coach route there. Travelers can go to Zhanqian Square to take a bus to the city center.
Shenyang Railway Station
Shenyang Railway Station, also called the Shenyang South Station, is located in Taiyuan Street, Heping District. Most trains in Shenyang Railway Station go to neighboring cities within Liaoning Province or the close regions.

Bus
There are more than 140 bus routes through Shenyang City. Most of the buses in Shenyang are automated collection buses with a ticket of 1 CNY.
Tips: The last buses in Shenyang stop running between 18:00 and 22:00 in the evening. Most of them don’t run after 19:00, and only a few buses keep working after 22:00. It is a good idea to check the time schedule of the last bus in the evening.
Metro
There are two Metro lines, Line 1 and Line 2, running through the whole city. Metro Line 1 (West-to-East) has run since 2010. Metro Line 2 runs between the North and the South of the Shenyang downtown. The city has planned to finish building another 8 subways to service the city in 2020.
Taxi
Most of the taxis in Shenyang are Santana and Jetta. The taxi fee starts at 8 CNY within 3 kilometers, then an additional charge of 1.82 CNY per kilometer, and it is 2.7 CNY per kilometer when it’s over 15 km during the daytime. In the evening, the basic price is 9 CNY for the first 3 kilometers and an extra 2 CNY for one kilometer. It is 2.94 CNY per kilometer after 15 km. The charge of the taxi with air condition in summer is the same to the taxi in the evening.
