Hutian Kiln is very famous in the Chinese traditional porcelain making process. It is located in Hutian Village, in the southeast of Jingdezhen City and about 4 kilometers away from the city center. It is the largest and most famous ancient porcelain production site during the Song and Yuan Dynasty.
The Hutian Ancient Kiln Site has an exhibition hall, which displayed various porcelain unearthed in Hutian. People can also see the porcelain making process in the ancient times. The ancient sites and the making instruction during the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasty were well preserved in the Hutian Ancient Kiln Site. In 1982, Hutian Ancient Kiln Site was listed as the National Relic Protection Unit by the State Council.
