Getting there:
It takes about 7 hours by bullet train from Beijing to Jilin (there is no airport in Jilin City), and another 1.5 hours by car from Jilin to the resort.
Flights from Beijing to Changchun are frequent (about 2 hours) and it takes about 2 hours from Changchun Airport to the resort.
Highlights:
Since it hosted the 2007 Asian Winter Games, Beidahu has established itself as one of China’s premier ski resorts. There are nine peaks with an altitude of 1,200 meters. The snow days reaches up to 160 from October to next April.
This resort is actually surrounded by huge mountains from three sides and this proves as great geographical advantage for it. It host alpine ski trails, cross-country skiing trails and ski jumping (diving) platforms, free style skiing area for almost all levels of skiers.
