240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in China
China is implementing a 10-day (240 hours) visa-free transit policy. The transit program allows visitors who have existing flight bookings from China to a third country (region) to snag a visa on arrival at a Chinese airport (port) and stay for 10 days before departure. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan all count as third destinations.
Passport holders of 54 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open airports (ports) in 24 provincial regions, covering popular tourist cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Chengdu and Guangzhou.

Meanwhile, citizens from 38 countries can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days.
Day 1 Guilin
Day 2 Guilin - Yangshuo (by cruise)
This morning, transfer to embark on a memorable 3-hour Li River Cruise.
Upon arrive at Yangshuo, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day on your own.
Ideas for leisure time in Yangshuo (optional tours): 1. Take a bamboo rafting on the Yulong River. Sitting in a chair on the raft and floating down the Yulong River, you will be impressed by the amazing natural beauty in the countryside. 2.Yangshuo County is dotted with rolling hills, bamboo forests and local villages. Day 3 Yangshuo - Lipu - Rongshui (by automobile)
In the morning, drive a half hour to Lipu and pay a visit to Silver Cave. It is a multi-storied karst cave, where stalactites developed in different geologic ages constitute various awe-inspiring sights.
Afterwards, take a scenic ride to Rongshui (about 236 km). You will enjoy another amazing sight - karst plain, a place with lush green fields and rice paddies.
Rongshui is the residence of Miao ethic group. Hospitable Miao people will sing songs and play the traditional reed-pipe instrument to welcome you.
Day 4 Rongshui - Danzhou - Sanjiang (by automobile)
In the morning, take a car ride from Rongshui to Danzhou Island (about 51 km). Upon arrival, pay a visit to the Old Town of Danzhou. Wandering through the ancient streets, you will come across some historical constructions of Qing Dynasty.
Later, head to Sanjiang (about 60 km), the residence of Dong ethnic minority group. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel.
Day 5 Sanjiang - Chengyang Scenic Area - Longsheng (by automobile)
Today, take a 3-hour car ride to Longsheng. Longsheng is well known for its spectacular Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. It is a beautiful place where the Zhuang and Yao ethnic people have lived for over the centuries. In the spring, when the terraces are full of water, they resemble irregular silver ladders; and in autumn, when the rice ripens, the mountains turn into golden waves.
