Small group tour of Qingdao and Beijing
We were on a 3 week tour of China, and it included a day in Qingdao and 4 days in Beijing. In Qingdao we were guided by Snow. Her very first challenge was to assist one of our group who had inadvertantly left his passport on the plane. She leapt into action and very quickly worked thru channels to locate the passport and reunite it with its owner. For the next day she guided us to the Tsingtao Brewery, including the Qingdao Beer Museum, the Badaguan Scenic area, and the very pretty waterfront district. They put on an amazing light show on the buildings on the waterfront every night, and it is a can't-miss experience. Qingdao turned out to be an unexpected delight, and we left wishing we had more than one day to spend there. Snow was a great guide and managed to squeeze as much as possible into our short stay. After Qingdao, we took the bullet train to Beijing, where our guide for the next 4 days was Kang Junfeng, who went by Kitty. She shepherded around to the Great Wall, The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the temple of Heaven, the Hutong district, and much more. Kitty was a great guide for us, and I recommend her to anyone looking for help seeing the sites in Beijing. We especially enjoyed walking on the Great Wall, and visiting a local resident's home in the Hutong District, and learning about his life growing up and living there. Thanks Kitty!
