A new high-speed railway (HSR) that links North China's port city of Tianjin with Beijing Daxing International Airport opens today. With a total length of 101 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, the new railway cuts the travel time between Tianjin and the airport to only 41 minutes.
In the initial operation, a total of eight trains will run on the route each day, which will be increased to 18 trains in the second quarter of 2024.
There are 6 stations along the route: Tianjin West Railway Station, Shengfang Station, Anci Station, Yongqing East Station, Gu'an East Station and Daxing Airport Station, of which Anci Station and Yongqing East Station are newly built stations.
