China Southern Airlines is set to launch a new international air route connecting Guangzhou, Changsha and Addis Ababa on October 12, 2026. Operating twice a week, the service will provide an additional travel connection between China’s Hunan Province and Ethiopia. It will become the airline’s second direct route linking Hunan and Africa, following its existing Changsha-Nairobi service.

The new Guangzhou-Changsha-Addis Ababa route will operate every Monday and Friday using Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft. Outbound flight CZ8095 will depart Changsha at 13:50 and arrive in Addis Ababa at 20:00. Return flight CZ8096 will leave Addis Ababa at 23:00 and reach Changsha at 15:10 the following day. All times are local.

The new connection will offer travelers from Africa another option for reaching Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province. The city serves as a gateway to Hunan’s cultural and natural attractions, including the renowned Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the historic town of Fenghuang.

The launch of the new Hunan-Africa air route will further strengthen air connectivity between China and Africa, supporting international travel and providing more opportunities for visitors to explore destinations across Hunan Province.
