International travellers from several countries, including Cambodia, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand and United Arab Emirates, will no longer need to take a PCR test prior to entry to China from March 1st, 2023.

Eligible travellers flying directly to China will only need to take an ART 48 hours before boarding. Airlines will also cease checking negative test results prior to boarding on China-bound flights from above countries.

This simplified process should be good news once China reopens its borders to tourists in the future.
