On September 3rd, a new calligraphy theme park named "Mobaoyuan" or "Garden of Calligraphy" was opened in Tongyu County, Jilin Province, Northeast China. This is a collection of international contemporary masters of calligraphy and ancient Chinese calligraphic works, inscriptions on art and landscape architecture.

The new Calligraphy Theme Park, built in the shape of a massive Chinese seal, covers an area of nearly 60,000 square meters. The park not only exhibits masterpieces of 831 domestic and international calligraphers, it also highlights the harmonious blend of natural beauty and classical architectures.

"It is the biggest seal in China," said Duan Chenggui, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, referring to the park's shape. Wang Yuechuan, head of the calligraphy research institute at Beijing University, said that the park will help to bring art closer to ordinary people.

Tongyu County is known as the world's A-level Wetland National Nature Reserve. The opening of the calligraphy park successfully makes eco-tourism and cultural tourism complement each other, so that visitors at Tongyu can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery but also feel the unique charm of calligraphy.
