A new international flight from Athens to Beijing will be launched on May 11, 2011 by Air China. This new service, from Athens to Beijing with stopover in Munich, will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft. There will be two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will depart from Beijing at 00:40, stop at Munich at 05:30, and arrive at Athens at 10:00 local time. Return flights will leave Athens at 11:30, stop at Munich at 12:55, and get to Beijing at 06:10 local time the following day. A one-way flight will take 13 hours and 25 minutes.
More and more Greek citizens are going to China for vacations and sightseeing, and the new route is expected bring even more Greek tourists to China.
