West Air will launch new Singapore- Chongqing- Urumqi flight on September 2nd. The flight will be available on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Airbus A320 will be used on route.
Previously, passengers from Singapore to Urumqi have to fly to and wait at Beijing or Shanghai for 4 to 13 hours, then to take the onward flight to Urumqi. The entire trip takes 15 to 27 hours.
By contrast, this new route shortens travel time a lot with a stopover at Chongqing for only 2 hours. Now the entire trip takes only 10 hours and 55 minutes.
The new route provides great convenience to passengers and enhances economic development of regions along the Silk Road.
