Two new air routes including Shenzhen-Lhasa and Changsha-Lhasa have been operated to open from July 10th by the Tibet Airlines. The two new air routes are also the only direct flights linking Lhasa with the two cities.
The direct Lhasa-Shenzhen flight departs at 11:30 and arrives at 15:20. It takes nearly 4 hours. The return flight leaves Shenzhen at 16:25 and lands in Lhasa at 20:45. It runs as a daily flight.
The flights between Lhasa and Changsha run three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It leaves Lhasa at 12:10 and reaches Changsha at 15:00 while the return one departs Changsha at 15:50 and land in Lhasa at 19:00.
The opening of these two air routes would bring much convenience to the visitors who want to go to Tibet for sightseeing.
Shenzhen, located in south China next to Hong Kong, is an important economic and tourist hub for passengers and businessmen from overseas. Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province, is famous for its central status in the Chu-Han Kingdoms in ancient China.
