According to the press conference held on Jan.31 2018 in Tibet Autonomous Region, an exciting activity named “Tour Tibet in Winter, Enjoy the Third Pole Together” launched from February 1st to April 30th in 2018. The preferential policy covers many aspects, including tourist attractions, star hotels, tourist buses, flights and trains, and tour groups.
All the A-level tourist attractions in total of 116 are free. For instance, the Potala Palace, which has the most hard-to get tickets in China, will be free. Some usually closed palaces inside the Potala Palace will be opened during the Chinese New Year. Besides, both three-star and upper class hotels and tourist buses in Tibet will be very deeply discounted.
From February 1st, Tibet Airlines starts to carry out concessionary fares. The fares of other airlines entering Tibet are still in the negotiation. Before long they will be published on the tourist website.
This is a golden opportunity for people to know more about Tibet, to breathe into this place, to enjoy the prayer flags fluttering everywhere, to immerse you into this serene and peaceful land.
