According to the Wanzhou District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee, Wanzhou District is rapidly advancing the construction of the Three Gorges Culture and Art Center. The Phase I grand theaters is scheduled to be completed and put into use at the end of this year.
The Three Gorges Culture and Art Center is located in the Civic Square in the core area of Jiangnan New District, which is adjacent to the Three Gorges Immigrant Memorial Hall and Nanbin Park.
The project covers an area of about 49.55 acres, with a construction area of about 36,000 square meters. The Phase I of the project has a construction area of approximately 22,000 square meters, which is mainly configured for 1,417 grand theaters and some related supporting buildings.
