On March 16, Wuyuan opens the Second Rape Flower Tourism and Culture Festival, which will last to the middle of April. Wuyuan locates in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, which is regarded as the Paradise of Rape Flower.
Recently, 7,000 hectares of the rape flowers are blooming at the ancient village in Wuyuan County. At the opening ceremony of the festival, people not only appreciate the beautiful scenery of the terraced sea of rape flowers, but also experience the concerts, salons in the rape flower fields. The photo exhibitions of rape flowers, flower and cultural products are also showed to people.
Every spring, rape flowers are yellowing the fields of Wuyuan. The immense sea of golden rape flowers in spring gives Wuyuan the reputation of “the Most Picturesque Village in China”. Wuyuan represents the ancient Huizhou architectures and has rich cultural heritages. Embraced by green mountains, the white and peaceful Hui-style architectures, and the meandering rivers help to add more mysteries to the 1000-year-old ancient town.
