According to the local government, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Center will focus on the construction and greening project of the panda pavilions and other buildings. The expansion work is expected to be fully completed in May next year.
The commercial facilities such as catering, cultural and creative, and cinema will also be added in the panda base. The panda base will add 2,000 acres. Twenty animal venues, which can accommodate no less than 180 pandas will also be added.
When the work is completed, it will solve the severe problems of lack of tourists' carrying capacity and lack of animal space. The traditional way of watching the pandas will be changed into immersive and multi-dimensional ways. People can not only watch the pandas, but also visit the large-scale exhibition that combines real-world science education with high-quality entertainment experience together.
In the future, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Center will gradually present a wonderful and complete tourism resort integrating the multiple cultural tourism, vacation and leisure, ecological livable and high-quality supporting facilities.
