Recently, the 8th Beijing International Art Biennale (BIAB) opens at the National Art Museum of China. The festival aims to show 640 works by 595 artists from 113 countries and will alst until September 20th.
With the theme of "A Colorful World and A Shared Future", BIAB mainly exhibits contemporary paintings, sculptures, installations, images and other multimedia works.
Apart from the main exhibition, it also includes six special exhibitions on contemporary art of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, Belarus, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the United States, Spain and South American countries.
The exhibition this year shows the artists' concern for nature, life and the shared destiny of mankind. According to the Fan Di'an, president of the China Artists Association, the exhibition is not only a response and practice of the Belt and Road Initiative, but also serves as the international platform for artists to show their talents.
