The 10th China (Anqing) Huangmei Opera Art Festival will be held in Anqing City, Anhui Province from 22 September to 8 October. Visitors will experience the charm of Huangmei Opera as one of the five major Chinese opera genres during this festival.
Huangmei Opera troupes, which come from 6 provinces and cities, will bring 18 newly created plays, 8 preserved plays, and 21 newly created small plays in Anqing. The repertoire includes traditional excellent themes such as "Dream of the Red Chamber" and "The Female Prince Consort"
At that time, the masters of Huangmei Opera and other famous opera genres from across the whole country will gather in Anqing.
