Shenyang Palace Museum opens imperial treasures exhibition

Shenyang Palace Museum opens the imperial treasures exhibition since November 7. The exhibition will last until March 31, 2020. Glittering cultural relics, palace jade and enamel lacquer wares of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) are showcased to the public.

 

On the exhibition, there are more than 100 pieces of exquisite articles. The exhibits show visitors the etiquette system, palace furnishings, as well as religious and dress cultures during the ancient time. They include an imperial eight-diagrams-shaped solid gold thurible, white jade wall-hangings and fine silk tapestries.

 

Shenyang Palace Museum locates in the center of Shenyang City. It is a former imperial palace from the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It was firstly built in 1625, and since the end of the monarchy in China, the palace has been converted into a museum. With the area of 60,000 square meters, the museum has 114 ancient architectures and 500 rooms.
