During May Day Holiday (runs from 29 April 2013 to 1 May 2013), Shanxi Province will launch 20% to 25% discount for entrance fees of major tourist attractions. There will be 10 scenic areas involved in the discount promotion, including Yungang Grottoes, Pingyao Ancient Town, Huayan Temple, and Hanging Temple.
Shanxi Province has a long history of more than 2500 years. It is a famous tourist destination in China owning splendid tourism resources, most notably cultural and historical relics. Pingyao Ancient Town, Yungang Grottoes, and Mount Wutai are three famous attractions which are listed as World Cultural Heritage sites.
