On June 16, Shanghai Film Museum celebrated its grand opening, following the launch of the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival. A group of renowned Chinese makers include Qin Yi, Wu Yigong, Jia Zhangke and Hark Tsui attended the opening ceremony, unveiled a sculpture in front of the museum.
Shanghai Film Museum is expected to exhibit 3000 items include some extremely valuable historical documents, costumes and props. Director Jia Zhangke donated the scripts of his Gold Lion award winning film “Still Life” to the museum, together with his Best Screenplay award certificate of 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
