Ningbo hosts its first Poland Week on May 30

On May 30, Ningbo City opened its first Poland Week at the Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University (ZJUNIT). The Poland Week will last until June 11. A series of exchange activities features culture, film, and music will show to the public.

 

An opening ceremony was held for the Polish Week on May 30. The head of ZJUNIT, Jin Weiliang delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony. He hopes the Poland Week will help enhance the economic and educational cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries. It also serves the Belt and Road Initiative and significantly improves mutual cultural communication.

 

On the opening ceremony, teachers and students of ZJUNIT played the Chinese traditional instrument - Pipa for the Poland Week. They played “Whisper from Pipa”, “Jasmine” and piano music “Chopin Nocturnes” for all the visitors, which gave people a profound impression.

 

Ningbo locates in East China's Zhejiang province, is a famous historical and cultural city, which has been acclaimed as "the state of cultural relics." It has now become a major bridge to strengthen economic and cultural ties between China and 16 CEE countries. The Poland Week will attract more visitors to Ningbo and help boost the tourism industry.
