On 26 July , the new exhibition hall opened at Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan, southwest China's Sichuan Province. It utilizes a number of new technologies to show the previous and present lives of Sanxingdui site and the latest results of archaeological excavation and research, featuring three themed sections.
The new hall exhibits more than 1,500 cultural artifacts, including pottery, bronze, jade, ivory and etc, with 600 of them were displayed for the first time.
The relics of the Bronze Hall and General Hall have been moved to the new exhibition hall. The Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Hall is still operating at the original site. The visitor can not only see the newly unearthed cultural relics, but also see the restoration process at the Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Hall.
