National Museum of China opens the exhibition of Asian civilizations on May 13th. Titled "The Splendor of Asia: An Exhibition of Asian Civilizations", the exhibition is jointly held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Cultural Heritage Administration and will last until August 11th. The exhibition is a part of the cultural activities of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, which will open on Wednesday.
The exhibition shows the dialogues, cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the civilizations of Asian countries. Both traditional displays and multimedia technologies are provided to the visitors. The opening ceremony was attended by Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
With over 400 cultural relics from 49 countries on shown, the exhibition aims to strengthen the friendships between Asian countries, facilitate the connectivity of people. The exhibition will also help to carry forward the achievements of Asian civilizations and help to boost Asia's cultural confidence.
