As the first pair of Hong Kong-born giant panda twins enter a new stage of growth, after days of observation and training by the care team at Hong Kong Ocean Park, the panda twins and their mother, Ying Ying, have gradually adapted to moving around the exhibit area together. Starting from March 22, they officially “united” to meet the public and share their daily lives.
The two cubs, who made their public debut on Feb. 16 when they turned six months old, now weigh around 12 kilograms each. They are breastfed and bottle-fed. The two cubs' official names will be unveiled in the first half of the year, chosen from entries for a city-wide naming contest.
