Themed as “Pioneers, an exhibition Lévy Gorvy”, the art exhibition opens at the Hong Kong space from August 26 to September 30, celebrating the innovative achievements of the modern artists.
When looking at canvases by great artists such as Paul Cezanne, Camille Pissarro and Pablo Picasso, people are caught by the vibrancy of the colors and dynamics of the composition. What is not so easily noticed is those masters' experimental, pioneering spirits.
On show are “The Church of St. James” in which Pissarro painted the hustle and bustle of city life, “The Frog Pond” by Maurice de Vlaminck had a creative use of colors and forms, and accentuated the pleasure of a couple enjoying refreshments at a waterside café. “The Kiss” is an example of Joan Miro, which shows the inner changes of people's minds.
