Hong Kong’s Cathy Pacific Airline has inaugurated a direct flight between Barcelona, a popular city of Spain and Hong Kong.
Until Oct. 27, there will be four flights a week with departures on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Airbus A350-900 is designated to fly with a flight capacity of 280 passengers. 38 seats will prioritize for both business and premium economic passengers, while the remaining seats will be for the economic passengers.
The new route allows the "construction of bridges and commercial connections between the companies" of Spain and China, according to Jansen Stafford, Cathay Pacific's General Director in Spain. He also expressed his interest in adding more flights to Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong-Barcelona route is now added to Madrid-Hong Kong route which started operating from June 2016.
