According to China Southern Airlines, a new direct air route opens since February 1st, between Sanya, a resort city of south China's Hainan Province and Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The airline, operated by China Southern Airlines with Airbus A320 aircraft, is scheduled one shift a day.
The outbound flight CZ8281 departs from Sanya Phoenix International Airport at 10:45 p.m. Beijing time. It arrives in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at 00:00 a.m. local time on the following day. The return flight CZ8282 leaves Bangkok at 1:05 a.m. local time and reaches Sanya at 3:55 a.m. Beijing time. The flight time is 2 hours or so.
With 209.1 kilometers long coastline, this coastal city - Sanya has many natural advantages. It plays an important role in importing and exporting, and therefore, it is also named the 'South Gate of China'. Sanya Phoenix International Airport locates about 15 kilometers northwest of Sanya’s city center. It has opened six international air routes to Southeast Asian cities, including Singapore, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Pattaya, Jakarta and Bangkok.
