Themed as “The Splendid Languages of Paper”, the Contemporary Art on Chinese Papermaking Culture exhibition is being held at the Zhejiang Art Museum in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The exhibition features creative paper artworks by about 40 contemporary Chinese artists and will last until September 19th.
The show includes sculptures, art installations and multimedia works, which present the innovative inheritance of China's age-old paper-making culture. The exhibition not only interprets the unremitting efforts and exploration of contemporary art in the circulation of Chinese traditional culture, but also reflects the artist's protection and new interpretation to the Chinese civilization.
Zhejiang Art Museum locates in Hangzhou and has the coverage of 35,000 square meters. In the museum, there are 14 exhibition halls of different sizes, and is equipped with multiple supporting facilities. The museum, on behalf of the nation, is dedicated to the exhibition, display, solicitation, and collection of art works and art literatures, with which it aims to provide and present academic research, education promotion, international exchanges and public cultural services.
