Chongqing Eling Park opens the Autumn Chrysanthemum Exhibition since October 25th. More than 70,000 pots of chrysanthemum, including about 100 varieties are shown to the public. The main exhibition covers an area of about 1500 square meters and will last until November 25th.
The theme of the Chrysanthemum Exhibition this year is "Chrysanthemum Ocean, Bayu Culture". The exhibition is mainly composed of four main exhibition areas, including Ancient Charm among Mountains and Rivers, Fine Chrysanthemum Gathering in Yuzhong, Looking for Friends through High Mountains and Flowing Water, Sichuan Opera Changing Face of National Essence.
Eling Park lies on Eling Mountain to the west of Chongqing City. It offers a grand view of both the Yangtze River and Jialing River. Eling Park was built during the late period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Originally, it was a private garden and called "Yiyuan". Eling Park displays the typical layout of Suzhou gardens, including pavilions, platforms, high buildings, winding paths and corridors, and lotus ponds.
