China Southern Airlines will launch a direct air route linking the southern China metropolis of Guangzhou and London on June 6, the company announced Saturday. As the first direct air route linking the two destinations, this new route, carried by Airbus A330-200, is scheduled for regular two-way flights three times a week on the line.
The Guangzhou-London flight runs on every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, Flight CZ303 departs from Guangzhou at 09:00 and arrives in London at 15:25 local. The return flight CZ304 leaves London on Wednesdays and Fridays at 22:30 local time and lands Guangdong at 17:30 the next day local time. On Sunday the London-Guangzhou flight leaves at 18:25 and land at 13:25 local time. The total flying time is about 13.5 hours.
Besides the new route, the Southern Airline will also increase the flights from Guangzhou to Vancouver to five times a week.
