Between Beijing and Yichang newly add a direct express. Express Z3 from Beijing to Yichang departs at 20:50, and arrives at 09:12 the next morning; while Express Z4 from Yichang to Beijing departs at 18:25, and arrives at 6:54 the next morning. Both lines are with two stops at Hankou and Jingzhou.
EMU expresses between Beijing and Yichang, Shanghai and Yichang are scheduled to open next year. However, between Yichang and Wuhan, there are daily departure EMU trains, shortening the travelling time between the two cities to 90 minutes.
