Air China will begin a direct Beijing-Montreal air service on September 29. Air Canada will cooperate with Air China to offer the service on a code-share basis; both of them are members of Star Alliance.
Three flights are available each week, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday separately. The Beijing-Montreal flight will leave Beijing at 13:00 and land in Montreal at 13:50 local time. On the same day, the Montreal-Beijing flight will depart from Montreal at 16:20 and arrive in Beijing at 18:00 local time.
Air China is expected to become the first airlines to run direct Asia-Montreal air route. The flights will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The aircraft is quite energy-saving and able to carry appropriate number of passengers.
Montreal is the second largest city in Canada. Up to now, Air Canada has been operating a total of 28 flights each week between Canada and China while Air China launches 11 flights between Beijing and Vancouver.
