According to the Luoyang Travel Promotion Meeting, from January 18, Air China will launch direct flights from Chongqing, the largest municipality in southwest China, to Luoyang, an ancient imperial capital city in Henan Province.
The open of the direct flight between Luoyang and Chongqing is the first time for Air China entering Luoyang. The flight is scheduled to fly on every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The flight CA4015 will take off at 18:40 from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and arrive in Luoyang Beijiao Airport at 20:10. The return flight will take off at 21:35 in Luoyang and arrive in Chongqing at 23:15.
Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines and Spring Airlines have already opened the Chongqing-Luoyang direct flights. With the settlement of Air China, the direct flight between Chongqing and Luoyang will be added to one or two flights per day, which make the transportation more convenient.
Luoyang locates in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. Luoyang is the capital city of 13 ancient dynasties from Xia Dynasty (21st-16th century BC). The Peony is the city flower of Luoyang. The Peony Culture Festival, starting in April, attracts a great number of travelers worldwide every year.
