With a time-honored history since 1892 as well as more than 20% domestic market share, Changyu Pioneer Wine Co. Inc. has been the most famous wine producer in China for the past many years. The company set up Changyu Wine Culture Museum in 1992 in Zhifu District of Yanti City. The museum aims to display the complete developing history of Changyu as well as presents the ups and downs of China’s wine enterprises.
Covering an area of about 30,000m², the museum houses some classic tourist attractions such as Wine Culture Square, Underground Wine Cellar and the Hall of Changyu Winery’s History.
The construction of Underground Wine Cellar began in the year of 1894 and completed in 1903. This 11-year construction established the first-ever underground cellar in Asia at that time. You can see thousands of barrels full of all kinds of wine neatly arranged in it. It’s quite a place to visit.
You may drink free wine at the museum.
