Cangshan Mountain is a great place for go hiking and getting a taste for the natural scenery of Yunnan. The snow-capped peaks, flowing clouds, mists and murmuring brooks attract countless tourists.
Located in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, the Cangshan Mountain is always jade-green, hence the name. There are several streams from snow run-off and many meandering paths to wander around. A dreamland for botany enthusiasts, this mountain is lush with verdant vegetation and rich in flora.
Many lakes can be found in the summits and 18 streams influx eastward into the Erhai Lake, cutting through hills and peaks. The crystal waters of Erhai Lake and the snow-capped Mount Cangshan radiate with each other. Thus the scene is commonly described as “Silver Cangshan and Jade Erhai”.
The mountains themselves are home to beautiful wild camellias, orchids, rhododendrons, azaleas and abundant birdlife. In spring and summer, the flowers bloom in profusion over an infinite expanse and bring breathtaking scenery.
