Yalong Bay is considered as the No. 1 Bay in China for its smooth and wide beach. It is located 28 kilometers away from Sanya City of Hainan Province. It is a half-moon bay in the south end of Hainan. With the total length of about 7,500 kilometers, it is a famous tourist site in Hainan. The sands there are white and soft and the sea water is clean and blue.
The crystal blue sea, whose visibility is 7 to 9 meters, makes Yalong Bay an ideal place for diving. You can enjoy the undersea world with its multi-colored coral reefs, tropical fish, seabed fish and corals treasures and wild shells.
Besides the attraction of the sea and the beach, there is the Yalong Bay Central Square, on which there is the totem pillar of 27 meters. Around the pillar, there are the carvings about the Chinese ancient myths and culture. Four white tilts with pinnacle make the square much more modern. On the square, there is a large-scale Museum of Seashell, which an area of 3,000 square meters. It is the first seashell museum in the country where you can see more than 300 species of seashells all over the world. You will be amazed by the divine workmanship by nature. On the north part of the Yalong Bay, there is the Butterfly Valley, where you can appreciate all kinds of butterflies. All of these will make Yalong Bay more attractive to the tourists.
