This dessert is also called Whistling Dune Bay, which is located in the Gobi's Kubuqi Desert. The origin of its name is attributed to its geographical location as this exhilarating resort sits 110 meters high with a slope of 45 degrees, forming huge crescent-shaped sand dunes which can create loud echoes resembling a roaring airplane or croaking frog.
The dessert was developed into the country's first desert-themed tourism resort. Tourists can enjoy the entertainment facilities in the resort while having deep insight into the Mongolian folk culture. Also, the annual cultural events such as International Photography Week and sand sculpture festival are held to promote local scenic spots.
