There are about 12 trains from Shanghai to Xi’an. There is only one G train (bullet train), and the other trains are 2 Z trains (Direct Express Train), 3 T trains (Express Train) and 5 K trains (Fast Train). The distance between the two cities is about 1,509 kilometers.
The G train is the fastest one and takes 11 hours to finish the whole journey. The Z trains and T trains take about 15-17 hours.

D306 leaves from Shanghai Railway Station at 22:00 and arrives at Xi’an North Railway Station at 08:36 the next morning.
From Xi’an to Shanghai
D308 leaves from Xi’an at 21:03 and arrives at Shanghai Railway Station at 08:01 the next morning.

The trains are fully air-conditioned. There are two classes of accommodations on this train: soft sleepers and hard seats.
